Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of foodhandlersoftexas.com and the training services offered by Food Handlers of Texas, a service of Genix, LLC.

Effective date: July 17, 2026

By accessing the site, creating an account, or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide online and classroom food handler and TABC (alcohol seller-server) certification training for Texas. Upon successful completion of a course and its exam, we issue a certificate in accordance with applicable Texas requirements.

2. Accounts & Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current information when you register and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must complete the course and pass the exam yourself; certificates are issued to the registered individual.

3. Payment & Refunds

Course fees are shown at checkout and are payable in advance through our payment processor. Because certificates are issued immediately upon course completion, course fees are non-refundable once a course has been started or a certificate has been issued. If you have not started a course, you may contact us within 30 days of purchase to request a refund. We reserve the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

4. Certificate Validity

Certificates are valid for the period set by the applicable Texas certification program (generally two years for food handler and TABC certifications, and one year for certain courses). It is your responsibility to renew before your certificate expires. We may send you courtesy renewal reminders by email and, if you opt in, by text message.

5. Text Message Program

Enrollment in our SMS reminder program is optional and governed by our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting in to texts is not required to purchase a course or use our services.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, course materials, and software — is the property of Genix, LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright and intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our course materials without our prior written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt the service, share account access, or use the service in violation of any law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated, and our total liability arising from your use of the services is limited to the amount you paid for the applicable course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
